Date: Friday, December 30, 2011 2 pm (Start time) Clinic will run around 4 to 5 hours -
Greater Binghamton Sports Complex (The Dome)
You MUST be signed-up for this clinic on or before Saturday, December 24, 2011
If you have completed your requirements up to this point (including those who have to re-take a test), your instructor information has been entered into the system by me. Game Officials is inputting the larger scale stuff, and that should be in some time soon. So if you are a referee, assessor and/or assignor, those registrations (with a couple of exceptions) won't show up now. They will once the data is entered by Game Officials. At least, in theory. If you are already registered with Game Officials with another group - for example, US Soccer's group - some weaknesses in the system prevent it from finding those. Sign into the WNY account using your current US Soccer password and username.
1. Go to https://wnyreferees.gameofficials.net.
2. You'll see a Log In box on the right. For username, use your first initial and last name - no spaces. Use "formal" first name (i.e. William, not Bill). your password at the moment is password.
3. On the main screen, you'll see a box on the right side that allows you to change your username and password. You can do this at any time and as often as you wish. It has no effect on the system other than your log in.
4. In the Main Menu on the left column, it will show you logged in as an Instructor. Something that you have to get used to - if you hold multiple badges, you have to "Change Identity" in order to be able to act as something else. So, for example, if you log in as an instructor and try to register for a recertification clinic, it will tell you that your grade doesn't allow that. You need to click on "Change Identity" (there are links both in the black bar near the top of the screen, and in the light blue box below the Main Menu on the left). Your contact information carries over from one identity to another. The only thing that is limited is your access to certain areas. If you click on "Change Identity" you will know what badges you have entered in the system. Again, for most of you this will only be Instructor right now.
5. Click on "My Info" under Main Menu in the left column. Click on the + sign next to Contact Information and add your contact information. I recommend that you don't check "private" as this will prevent other instructors or officials from getting your contact information. This information is visible only to WNY Referees with access to this site - similar to Arbiter contact information. "Auto emails" is how you receive assignments, confirmations, etc. Your first e-mail address is, by default, the address material is sent to. If you want to receive notifications at additional email accounts, click the "Auto emails" box next to that address. PLEASE CONFIRM THAT THE USSF REGISTRATION NUMBER SHOWN IS CORRECT.
6. Forum Information isn't something that we are using at the moment.
7. Make sure to click on the + next to Communication Preferences, and check or uncheck boxes to suit your preferences. By default, you are set to receive notifications of problems or upgrades to the system only.
